The painting is signed indistinctly to lower right corner, within distressed frame in complementary colours.

Condition report: Oil on canvas so framed but unglazed. Overall condition good – some paint fleck type marks to canvas and surface dirt, stretcher marks slightly visible, some scratching, frame with separation to corners and work slightly loose within frame. Displays very well.
This mid century portrait painting is indistinctly signed and we have been unable to accurately identify the artist. The sitter has the stylish look typical of the 1940s and 1950s.
